All Around the World

Although cultural diversity may be represented by different ethnicities among the student body, high schools should integrate a mandatory cultural education class within their curriculum to expand teenagers knowledge and awareness of the world around them.

  1. That's a great idea! I would have loved to learn more about other cultures earlier on in my life. Good luck with this topic!

  2. that is a sweet idea. Would it just be one class during your sophmore year or would you have to take a bunch of them?

  3. I despised those mandatory classes in high school. Though many diversity and awareness courses were offered, I knew far more by reading the news and keeping aware of world events than any student being taught by a teacher with a liberal bias. The weight of responsibility for awareness falls upon the shoulders of the individual, not a burden to our already taxed school districts. Also, the tendency for teachers in the public school systems to have a large liberal bias will influence the way they portray the material and lead to students misunderstanding world events.
